Contemplative spiritual direction

A quiet place to notice where God is stirring.

Step away from the noise. Listen with care. Become more aware of God's loving presence and invitation in your life.

“After the fire came a gentle whisper.”

1 Kings 19:12

A world of noise

Making room to hear the gentle whisper

We live with notifications, demands, and endless distractions pulling us in every direction. In the rush of daily life, it can be difficult to slow down, quiet our hearts, and truly listen for God's voice.

Yet God is always at work, always inviting us into deeper relationship. Responding to that invitation begins with intentional stillness and a willingness to pay attention.

Sacred companionship

What is spiritual direction?

Contemplative spiritual direction is a prayerful, unhurried space to deepen your awareness of God's presence in your life.

Through attentive listening and the gift of silence, a trained guide helps you notice the movements of the Spirit and discern where God may be leading. It is not advice-giving or counseling, but companionship for reflection, contemplative prayer, and spiritual growth.

There is no pressure to perform or fix anything—only space to slow down, reflect honestly, and notice God's loving invitation more deeply.

A gentle rhythm

What a session may hold

Each session is shaped by what you bring and by our shared attentiveness to God's presence.

01

Become still

We begin in quiet prayer, allowing the rush of the day to settle.

02

Listen together

We attend to your experiences, emotions, desires, questions, and prayer.

03

Notice the invitation

We reflect on where God may be stirring and what faithful response is emerging.

Your spiritual director

Karen Chacko

I would be honored to walk with you as you listen for God's movement in your life.

I feel especially called to walk alongside people in seasons of transition, discernment, and spiritual longing, offering a quiet and prayerful space to notice God's presence and invitation.

My training in spiritual direction is through the Selah-Anglican program with Leadership Transformations. I hold master's degrees in Biblical Studies and Christian Counseling, and I am completing a Doctor of Ministry in Theology and Ministry in 2027.

An invitation

If you sense a desire for more, we can explore that longing together.

More stillness. More listening. More awareness of God's movement in your life. Reach out to learn more or begin a conversation—there is no pressure or obligation.
